Judgement from the Court of Chancery in a matter brought by James Rudge of Sandyway, Weston under Penyard.
The petition concerns the mortgage of 1825 [F13/11] which James Rudge took out from John Pye. John Pye has since deceased and left his eldest son Robert as heir to the mortgage. Robert Pye has resided for some years in a private Lunatic Asylum in Hereford. The judgement includes an interesting deposition from Elizabeth Howells of Ross, sister of the late John Pye as to the state of mind of Robert Pye. The judgement grants the petitioners request that trustees be appointed in place of Robert Pye. Benjamin Street, John Jones and William Jones were so appointed.
