  • This series consists of photographs and documents dating from the 1920s to 1980s. The photographs were taken by the Hereford City’s Surveyor’s and Engineer’s Department and Hereford Times, largely showing urban development in Hereford from 1920s – 1940s; CL50/1/21-22 are the notable exceptions to this. All photographs are of buildings or areas in Hereford unless otherwise stated. These documents were taken from a large envelope labelled “Old Photographs – Mostly Hereford -1940s era.” The photographs and documents were originally in no discernable order, and later organised chronologically when catalogued. Quantity and format: 23 black and white photographs (print); and 3 paper documents. Size: Varied (see item level descriptions) Copyright: CL50/1/12-16 Owned by Hereford Times. Members of the public will need to contact Hereford Times for permission to publish these images.
