Francis Hall late of Woonton’s Ash, drainer, states that he is the son of Francis Hall, labourer, late of Woonton’s Ash. He remembers his father living in the cottage (with a garden and plock of land) for 60 years, having been left a life interest in the property by his maiden aunt Mrs Bowyer. After her death, Francis junior’s brother William took possession of the house. He sold it to his son John Hall in 1826.
Also included loose is a small sheet of paper with notes about the Halls and the ownership of the cottage.
