  • Public Elementary Schools The Back Lane girls’ and infants’ school was built around 1850 by D.J. Collins. Ledbury Board Boys’ School (The Homend) built in 1867-68, and enlarged in 1894. 1902 the Girls’ and infants’ departments is now the County Junior School and the boy’s department is now the County Infant School. Ledbury Boy’s School was formed in 1916-1917. Ledbury Boy’s school changed its title when it moved from Homend, to the Church Street site on 29 Jun 1961 to the County Secondary Modern School along with Ledbury County Junior School to become the Mixed County Primary School. 1985 saw the Royal Opening of Ledbury Primary School.
